Irrigation Services Technician

Basic irrigation services Inc is a well known commercial irrigation service company in Plainfield, IL. We’ve proudly served the Chicagoland area since 1991. Through our exceptional service we are excited to be growing!

All levels of experience are welcome.

Candidate requirements:

• Must be available to work Monday through Saturday during peak season times (April – July and Mid-September through November).
• Able to properly communicate with customers and other team members in a friendly professional manner.
• Must have knowledge that pertains to irrigation both electrical and hydraulics.
• Understands the workings of irrigation systems and the proper process to diagnose issues on these systems.
• Ability to carry out specific instructions given by leadership.
• Maintain organized paperwork and data entry for appointments.
• Possess time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Be flexible to work independently and with other team members.
• Ability to work in changing conditions in the work environment.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Starting P ay $18 – $25 PER HOUR (based on experience)

What do you need?

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain all state licenses required to perform the role (provided by Basic Irrigation)
• Ability in using various hand tools
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices
• Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to hook up and trailer equipment
• The work requires physical activity and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
